Dipankar (Dip) Shewaram has over two decades of experience in investing and managing money across asset classes and in total return and benchmark-centric mandates. He was a senior member of both the investment and management teams at BlueBay Asset Management, and one of the first principals to join the firm in 2002 – playing a pivotal role in helping the firm grow to 250 people and transition through its IPO.
Dip has also held senior roles at large global asset managers, most notably Western Asset Management, where he was responsible for managing a large team and over US$25 billion of assets. More recently, he’s been advising two institutions within the asset-management space: Lincoln Private Investment Office (a boutique wealth-management firm where he’s on the Investment Advisory Board) and TY Danjuma Family Office (Dip is a non-executive director).
Since early 2017 Dip has been a regular guest speaker on the Strategic Investment Management Executive Education programme at London Business School. With a first-class degree in Economics from University College London, and an MSc in Finance and Economics from the London School of Economics, Dip focuses on macroeconomics, the global political and economic backdrop and multi-asset investment opportunities.
